Biographical ProfileArnold Winter is a partner in Lipton, Weinberger & Husick, an intellectual property, technology, and business law firm based in the Philadelphia region since the early 1990’s. Practicing law since 1991, Mr. Winter provides entrepreneurial legal services that help his clients start and operate successful business ventures. His clients include entrepreneurs, business owners and executives, business start-ups, early stage companies, and professional service providers. His legal experience includes general business, corporate, and commercial matters, as well as intellectual property, software and other technology-related business transactions, and Internet, e-business, and e-commerce. After spending the first several years of his legal career at large Philadelphia law firms, Mr. Winter joined Lipton, Weinberger & Husick in 2002. Before law school, Mr. Winter held the position of Contracts Administrator at Creative Associates International, Inc., a women and minority-owned consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC. Mr. Winter received his law degree in 1991 from Duke University School of Law and is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He also holds a Masters of Arts degree in History and North American Studies from the Free University Berlin, Germany. Mr. Winter has spoken before various chambers and trade groups and has been a presenter at an annual continuing education program on Internet law organized by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. An article of his on Y2K risks was published in the Summer 1999 issue of Philadelphia Lawyer magazine. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the German American Chamber of Commerce, Inc.-Philadelphia, having previously also served as the Chamber’s Vice President for Membership and Development. He also founded and chaired a business roundtable at the Racquet Club of Philadelphia. Having resided in Sri Lanka and Germany, and being fluent in German, Mr. Winter has a cross-cultural and multilingual background. Thus, in addition to his law practice, he owns and operates a foreign language translation business. # # #
